Reports have emerged that suggest Atletico Madrid striker Antoine Griezmann is a step closer to making a move to Spanish Double winners Barcelona.
The France international has been consistently linked with a move to the Nou Camp, and a deal was apparently agreed in January.
And after reportedly turning down a new improved contract, it appears that Griezmann is ready to leave the Europa League finalists after four seasons with the club, with Barca having to meet his €100m release clause.
Indeed, Barca forward Luis Suarez may have let the cat out of the bag already, after speaking to a radio station in his Uruguyan homeland.
He said: “It makes the club proud to bring players of this quality. He’s a player who brings a huge amount, he has a lot of years playing at the highest level, always fighting. He rules up front for Atletico and that is fundamental. He is not coming to take the place of anyone, but with the ambition of winning important things. He will be welcome.”
