WorldCup or qualifying, any championships and friendlies, from the game to the drama around it, what is the greatest football game ever played in the universe (assuming the aliens dont play football)?

Among the ones I have watched (mostly since the 90s), the following come to my mind:

1. Brazil Netherlands 3-2, World Cup 1994

2. Argentina Mexico 2-1, World Cup 2006

3. Liverpool AC Milan 3-3 UEFA Champions League Final 2005

4. Brazil Italy 4-1 World Cup 1970 

5. Argentina Serbia Montenegro 6-0 World Cup 2006

i second the liverpool milan 3-3 game, its probably in my opinion the greatest ever and nothing will come close

Hmm.. two of Argentina's games in your list? I agree, the Serbia Montenegro game was very latino and fluid, and the I remember the classic volley goal from the Argentina Mexico game. Not my best, but they were both interesting matches.

Agree on the Mexico- Argentina and on the Liverpool-Milan they were both great games. I enjoyed Germany 2006 the Italy semifinal and the final were both good games

Definitely the 1970 WC finale between Brazil and Italy, I was not born at the time, but I watched the match recently and it's amazing, now that's what I call football!

I personally liked the Italy-Germany Semifinal in 2006.  Fabio Grosso's goal in the 117th minute was GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOLLLLLLLLLLLLLLAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
