Claudio Bravo started just six Premier League games in 2017, losing his starting place to 35-year-old Argentine Willy Cabellero.

Guardiola brought in Claudio Bravo from Barcelona for £17 million, a move creating more questions than answers, while Hart was sent on a season-long loan to Torino.

Hart has played in all but two of Torino’s Serie A matches ahead of the final game of the season this weekend, and his performances have garnered an interesting assessment from Torino president Urbano Cairo.

“We probably didn’t expect so many mistakes from an England international…but he did some good things, too,” said Cairo.

His candid comments are well supported by the numbers; Hart has made the second-most errors leading to goal in Europe’s top five leagues (5), with only Palermo youngster Josip Posavec having made more (7).

Hart was also faced with a considerably higher amount of shots at his goal than he endured at Manchester City, making 100 saves in Serie A, and accumulated the highest number of saves from shots inside the penalty area (58) since his loan spell at Birmingham in 2009/10.

Asked on whether he sees himself back in the Premier League next season, Hart said, “More than likely, but that’s me with no knowledge, I’ve got no firm contact with anybody, but whatever I’m doing I’d love to be permanent where I go.”

“If it’s back at Manchester City, which I don’t see happening, then great. Other than that, another loan move at my age? I don’t think it’s the right thing for me,” said Hart.

Hart has been linked with a move to Liverpool, a rumour that Jurgen Klopp addressed, and denied, in April.

  1. Have you ever thought about including a little bit more than just your articles? I mean, what you say is fundamental and everything. Nevertheless just imagine if you added some great pictures or video clips to give your posts more, “pop”! Your content is excellent but with images and videos, this website could undeniably be one of the best in its niche. Superb blog!
