Manchester City playmaker Kevin De Bruyne is set to extend his contract at The Etihad Stadium amid reported interest from Paris Saint-Germain.

That’s the latest from Goal.com’s Manchester City correspondent Sam Lee, who believes the Belgian international’s stellar start to the new campaign could see him earn a weekly wage in the region of £250,000.

Yet none of this will prevent the Ligue 1 giants from approaching the former Wolfsburg man at the end of the season in a big-money offer, but it appears that the 26-year-old is committed to the Premier League side.

Kevin De Bruyne got his first taste of the English Premier League with Chelsea in 2013, debuting on the opening day of the 2013/14 season in a 2-0 win over Hull City. His time with The Blues was short lived, though, as Chelsea had a plethora of established attacking midfielders ahead of him, including Juan Mata, Oscar and Eden Hazard.

Pep Guardiola’s side are in irresistible form in the English Premier League and UEFA Champions League, undefeated in both competitions, with Kevin De Bruyne playing a vital role in the heart of midfield.

The metronomic distributor leads the English Premier League in key passes (30) and assists (6 – tied with teammate David Silva).
