French newspaper Le Parisien claims that Paris Saint-Germain’s pursuit of Arsenal forward Alexis Sanchez is far from over.
PSG sporting director Antero Henrique has reiterated his desire to land the Chilean superstar by contacting Sanchez’s agent within the last week, reports Le Parisien.
Alexis Sanchez is in the last year of his Arsenal contract and reportedly turned down a £300,000 per week deal to stay at The Emirates, demanding a weekly wage of £400,000, which PSG are apparently willing to meet.
The 28-year-old has kept no secret over his desires heading into the new campaign, claiming he needs to be playing Champions League football, something which Arsenal cannot give him this year.
He also stated that his decision regarding his future has already been made, but that everything depends on the response of Arsenal.
Manchester City remain keen on the Chilean but Arsene Wenger would prefer not to sell to a domestic rival, while Bayern Munich CEO Karl-Heinz Rummenigge has ruled out the possibility of the German champions signing Alexis Sanchez.
