Cristiano Ronaldo believes he can play until he is 41 as he looks forward to another Champions League Final.
The four-time European club champion will be aiming for a fifth success in the competition – only Italian greats Alessandro Costacurta and Paolo Maldini from non-Real Madrid players has won it that many times.
And the Portugal forward, famous for his fitness and dedication to the game, believes he can push for further honours beyond his 34th year.
“Right now I have a biological age of 23,” he declared in an interview with Spanish television programme El Chiringuito.
“I’ve still got a long time left, I can keep playing until I’m 41. I’m feeling good, happy, I can’t complain.”
And commenting on speculation linking Paris Saint-Germain star Neymar with a move to the Bernabeu, he remarked: “I’ve been here for eight years and people always say 50 players are coming here but in the end no-one comes. In September people think lots of players are going to come but the ones who take us to finals are always the same ones.
“The best players are already at Madrid. Bale, Benzema, (Lucas) Vazquez, (Marco) Asensio. They are all here.”
